Not legal or tax advice. This pack is an educational operating checklist published by Developer Experts, LLC. It is not legal, tax, accounting, or immigration advice, and it is not a substitute for a licensed attorney, CPA, or Skatteverket / IRS professional. Forms, rates, addresses, and program rules change. Always use official originals. Templates here are not government forms.

Fit

Who this is for — and not for

Read this before you buy. If you are outside the intended user, the routing maps will not apply as written, and you should get personal advice instead of a checklist.

Intended user

You can tick all of the following:

  • You already have a US LLC, or you just formed one and have the state filing confirmation.
  • You live in the EU. The Sweden notes are written for a Swedish tax resident; other EU countries use files 00–07 and 09 and replace file 08.
  • You do not currently hold a US work visa or green card.
  • You will operate digital products, affiliate links, or SaaS-style payouts through the LLC — Amazon Associates, Polar, Stripe, or similar.
  • You will keep your own books and talk to a licensed advisor when a form asks a classification question.

A typical reader looks like the publisher’s own setup: an EU resident with a Florida LLC, no US visa, receiving platform payouts into a US-named account.

Not for

Stop and get personal advice instead if any of these apply:

  • You need someone to form the LLC, act as registered agent, or obtain an EIN for you.
  • You want a filled W-8, W-9, 5472, or Swedish return presented as ready to file.
  • You are trying to use a US LLC to avoid home-country tax. Swedish unlimited tax liability does not disappear because the company is American.
  • You will perform services physically in the United States this year. That changes withholding, visa, and “effectively connected income” questions.
  • You are a US citizen, green-card holder, or US tax resident. Your default certificate is usually W-9; different filing sets apply.
  • You need immigration advice. A US LLC is not a visa.

What “operator” means here

You already have the entity. The remaining job is operational:

  1. Keep the Florida filing current.
  2. Hold an EIN confirmation you can show a bank or platform.
  3. Open (or keep) a payout path whose legal name matches the LLC.
  4. Answer tax-interview screens with the form the IRS instructions describe for your facts.
  5. Calendar the information returns the IRS describes for foreign-owned disregarded entities.
  6. Invoice, disclose affiliates, and keep a paper trail your home-country return can use.

None of those steps is “the LLC makes US tax disappear.”

Assumptions to verify — not conclusions

Assumption Why it matters
Single-member LLC, no Form 8832 corporate election Changes which W-8 / W-9 the owner hands a payer
Owner is a foreign person (not a US person) W-9 is for US persons
Calendar-year books Drives the Form 5472 / pro forma 1120 due date
Work is done from the EU, not from a US office Source-of-income and permanent-establishment questions
Florida entity remains ACTIVE at Sunbiz Banks and platforms match the legal name and status

Official places to check are linked inside the pack (IRS W-8BEN / W-9 / 8832 / 5472 instructions, Publication 519, Sunbiz search).
